Course Description

Course Overview

During this intensive workshop in Figure Drawing and Human Anatomy Stefan will teach you the secret methods, principles and techniques governing the works of the greatest Masters of all time. From Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man to Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam Stefan will introduce the study of the Golden Ratio– a mathematical concept which has inspired artists and thinkers of all disciplines like no other number in the history of Art.

What is the Golden Ratio?

Since ancient times, the Golden Ratio has intrigued many of the greatest mathematicians, artists, architects and even musicians. A proportion which has been merited the title of ‘the divine ratio’ in search for perfect harmony and beauty in art and nature. We not only find it on the petals of roses or in the perfect smile of the Mona Lisa, but it is also evident in the design of ancient structures dating as back as the Pyramids. It is also perfectly implemented in Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and Mozart’s compositions.
