Workshop Overview – What to Expect?
With natural environment as our backdrop, the watercolour landscape painting workshop aims to bring students to one of Malta’s most picturesque and beautiful locations for a day of painting from location.
During this day-workshop students learn to observe and record directly from nature (en plein air), and reproduce the landscape’s natural rhythms, colour values and mood through the quick yet vibrant medium of watercolour.
The session is structured with guided exercises and real-time demonstrations led by a professional artist.
Additional Information – Tutor’s recommendations
Since we will be open to all the natural elements it is best advised that students come light yet resourceful.
Main things to bring:
- A smooth cushion/ portable stool to sit on and all the necessary materials (an email will be sent to you regarding materials)
- A board to tape your paper onto so it will be steady for you to paint on.
- If you have your own portable easel make sure to bring it or you may hire one from us for just the session at a small charge.
- Last but not least…dress up well!
