Painting in the Three Cities- Explore Malta through Art

Discover the 3 Cities like an artist!

Immerse yourself in an artistic journey with natural environment as your backdrop. These sessions offer you the opportunity to experience Malta’s most picturesque and beautiful Southern Maltese region!

Prepare yourself for an immersing artistic tour that will offer a full immersion of culture, amazing views and art! An opportunity that will have you put on a new set of lenses through which to experience and rediscover some of Malta’s most panoramic spaces. During these semi-informal sessions you will learn to observe and record directly from nature (en plein air), and reproduce the natural elements: landscape’s rhythms, colours, mood and design through art.

After the session we’ll wrap up and gather up to enjoy a warm coffee.

*NO PRIOR ART SKILLS REQUIRED*

NON ARTIST? No worries! Session is guided with Fun nd easy-to-follow exercises nd live demonstrations by a professional local artist at your side.

Times: every other Friday between 8:00AM-10:00AM (2 hrs) (See booking calendar below for specific dates)

Fee: €29 per adult

What to Expect?

Painting in the 3 Cities was conceived as an idea to promote outdoor drawing and painting while touring some of the most iconic and historic places in the southern Maltese region!

An opportunity that will have you put on a new set of lenses through which to immerse yourself, discover and experience the 3 cities…and of course led by a professional artist!

Who are these sessions best suited for?

Painting in the 3 Cities is open for all skill levels. No prior art skills required.

Sessions are adequate for both beginner and more advanced students who wish to enjoy painting in nature.

Each session is structured with guided exercises and real-time demonstrations led by a professional artist.

What’s included?

🎨 Materials will be provided

Recommended but not necessary: portable stool, portable easel.

* We kindly request everyone interested to RSVP and book online to guarantee your spot.

Additional Information – Artist’s recommendations

Since we will be open to all the natural elements it is best advised that students come light yet resourceful.

Main things to bring:

  • A smooth cushion/ portable stool to sit on and all the necessary materials (an email will be sent to you regarding materials)
  • A board to tape your paper onto so it will be steady for you to paint on.
  • If you have your own portable easel make sure to bring it or you may hire one from us for just the session at a small charge.
  • Last but not least…dress up well!
